Job Summary: 

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Event Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the event and bartending logistics of our events, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available, delivery/returns in excellent condition. Additionally, the Event Manager will be responsible for setting up the 1631 Event Venue, ensuring the venue is well-supplied, conducting client walk-throughs, and performing miscellaneous venue-related duties. The Event Manager will serve as the Manager of bartending staff to ensure quality control regarding customer service during all events. This role includes scheduling bartending and event staff in our scheduling software. This position requires 2 bartending shifts per month as part of the position.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Weekly Inventory of Storage Unit: 

● Conduct a thorough inventory of all event-related items in the storage unit.

● Ensure accurate record-keeping and update inventory lists regularly.

● Identify and report any missing or damaged items to the supervisor.


2. Tidying/Organizing of Storage Unit – Weekly: 

● Perform a comprehensive tidying of the storage unit every week.

● Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all stored items.

● Dispose of any expired or unnecessary items properly.


3. Dividing Equipment Between Events for Bartenders: 

● Allocate and distribute necessary equipment for each event.

● Coordinate with bartenders to ensure they have all the tools and supplies they need.

● Keep track of equipment usage and return.


4. Communication with Owner: 

● Communicate with owners regarding event details, logistics, troubleshooting, equipment, supplies, and event preparation.

● Address any last-minute or event-day needs with owners or vendors.


5. Event Overviews and Coordination: 

● Create and send event overviews to bartending staff five days prior to the event date.

● Help manage bartenders to ensure a 5-star client experience at all events.

● Provide creative solutions for event-related bottlenecks based on staff and client feedback.


6. Marketing and Social Media: 

● Collect marketing images from events for social media and organize them in Google Drive.


7. Exceptional Communication: 

● Maintain exceptional written communication with relevant team members before, during, and after events.


8. Additional Duties: 

● Schedule bartenders for all events in scheduling software


1631 Venue Duties: 

1. Event Venue Setup: 

● Set up the event venue for events (95% of events are held on weekends)

● Ensure the venue has all necessary supplies prior to client events (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.).


2. Client Walk-Throughs: 

● Conduct walk-throughs with potential clients once per month.


3. Miscellaneous Duties: 

● Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by ownership.


Qualifications:

● Proven experience in event management or a related field.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
● Excellent communication and coordination skills.
● Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
● Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: $22,800 per year base + bartending pay for being lead bartender at add on events ($250+ per event)

● Hybrid work environment with approximately 5 hours per week working from home and 15 hours working on site weekly during the busy season and fewer than 5 hours per week during our slow season (Q1 is slow season).

Additional Information:

● Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by event schedules.

● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.

● Must have reliable internet access.

● Must have reliable computer access to work from home.

● Must be TIPS Certified (if you are not TIPS Certified, you will be required to get TIPS certified within 4 weeks of hire date).
