A Message From The Owner

Hi! I’m Courtney, the Owner of 1631 Venue. When I opened the doors in the summer of 2022, I wanted to ensure our guests had an affordable event venue option. Pricing reflects my desire to offer an inclusive space that offers ample set up and clean up time, with amenities designed to reduce the stress of hosting an event. 1631 Venue is a DIY (do it yourself) venue that does not include event planning or decor. Event planning is time consuming and gets expensive, so I opted to provide all the tables and chairs, minimal design elements and a welcoming space where our guests could bring decor, food and drink, and customize their celebratory experience.

For 2024, I did add some small fees – I realize no one loves fees, but we are a small business, and have to cover expenses. So what’s new for 2024? I added a $10 usage fee to all events – this helps us cover the complimentary trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, energy costs, etc. We also gave our cleaning crew a $20 raise, because they work really hard to clean before and after events. So the cleaning fee has increased from $100 to $120. Finally, a 3 hour weekend rental is $350 (includes 2 free hours of set up and 1 free hour of clean up).

What’s new? After guest feedback, we are adding a microwave in the prep area for 2024 events. Thank you for your feedback in helping improve the venue, and we cannot wait to welcome you and your guests in 2024!

2024 Venue Rental Rates:

When we opened 1631 Venue, we wanted to offer a venue that was affordable, turn key and offered stress-fee set up. That’s why our clients receive 2 complimentary hours for set up (immediately before event) and 1 complimentary hour for clean up. That’s 3 hours we are not charging our clients for. We decided to offer complimentary set up and clean up, because we know how stressful setting up can be, and we don’t want our guests to feel rushed. If you need more than 2 hours of set up time, additional hours can be added at a discounted rate of $25 per hour. So if you plan on an elaborate balloon arch, floral or other decor elements, just let us know and we’ll block additional time for set up.

FriYAY Package

Friday evenings are a great choice for events, birthday parties, showers and more. Our FriYAY event package offers maximum value with all the bells and whistles you get on the weekends (at half the price).

Fees

The following fees are included in all venue rentals.

Cleaning Fee – $120 ($60 before your event and $60 after your event)

The venue is professionally cleaned after each use, which includes wiping down/disinfecting all surfaces (tables, chairs, floor, etc.), vacuuming, mopping, cleaning bathroom, etc.


Usage Fee – $10 per event

This helps cover our cost of energy (lighting, ac, heat, etc.) paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, wifi, water, etc.
